Whole chicken (2022): from S/44.90

From a dark kitchen to José Gálvez

Tori Pollería takes its name from the Japanese word for chicken. It belongs to Mitsuharu "Micha" Tsumura, the chef of Maido, with partners César Choy and Marjorie Flores. It began as a dark kitchen, selling only by delivery, and the chicken did well enough to move into a dining room on Calle José Gálvez, in Miraflores.

In 2022 the Summum awards, which rank Lima's restaurants by survey, put it third among the city's pollerías.

The chicken, the sides, the MT sauces

Pollo a la brasa by the quarter, half or whole, with fries and salad. Where it leans nikkei is in the extras: chaufa fried rice as a side, and a set of house sauces they call salsas MT, made with Peruvian chilis and spices.

In 2022 a whole chicken started at S/44.90.
